The small desk by Les Ateliers Vau Fontaine is very simple, and its elegance lies in restraint and a few details: strict lines, clean, slender tapered legs, and on the top, inlaid crossing lines underlining the purity of its form, with edges bevelled at 75° resting on the tops of the legs.
Beneath the top, a small flush drawer, almost invisible, running on oak runners for a soft and silent glide. Traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery with acacia or walnut pegs. All designed and made to last for centuries.
