More information

The main frame is in solid black walnut, with flawlessly executed dovetail joints providing exceptional strength and remarkable beauty. The two sliding front panels are in walnut, their structure stiffened by 44 small 10 mm black walnut slats set in front of an elm burl background, creating a subtle play of light and shadow.

Inside, the walnut shelves rest on discreet wooden pegs, a signature of Les Ateliers Vau Fontaine replacing the unsightly metal shelf strips usually used. On the right, an English-style drawer in walnut and elm. Finally, a secret compartment is concealed in a place known only to its owners. All designed and made to last for centuries.
